AR400 STEEL CONSTRUCTION The Anvil's body is fabricated from AR400 abrasion resisting heat treated alloy steel. This is a premium alloy steel with an excellent combination of properties for typical round bottom end dump applications.Benefits The beneficial properties of the AR400 steel include a very high abrasion resistance and hardness. It is the ultimate steel for strength and toughness. Round bottom end dump bodies fabricated of AR400 heat treated alloy plate are able to withstand tremendous punishment of impact and abrasion from large, hard and sharp rocks and broken concrete. It is strong and tough plus it provides adequate formability and welding capabilities so it can be fabricated directly into a structural body instead of being used as a liner over a lower strength steel body.
